We were rewarded with bright sunshine after an awful start to the day with enough over-night rain to knockout the parking field. Thanks to the riders for bearing with us while Darren sorted parking on the top and sorry for the late start.
A great bunch of friendly and willing students were sorted into appropriate groups for a morning session which warmed riders up nicely, if not wore them out. Its not all stand around and watch, it is do it do it do it. Ben Bish had the younger riders and beginners up on the footpegs in a slippery field getting used to wriggling the bike around, then by lunch brake they 
were practising lifting front wheels on to rock steps. The other two groups came back out of the main woods with mud in all the right places and a few patches where they shouldn't be, obviously showing they had been testing their skills.
The afternoon session took the younger ones up into the woods mixing it with the more experienced riders and adults on real sections. The coaches setup sections with alternative routes so riders could build up to the harder parts after mastering the standard routes. Even Ian Wixon's Triumph was seen getting up rock steps that ground clearance normally forbids.
So far we have very positive feedback so we could be doing more coaching sessions (With dryer parking!) in the future. Let us know if you want more, or, if you missed out this time, would like another chance.
