Update: 5Aug2019 - With the low uptake for entries we are reluctantly forced to cancel. There is an immense amount of work involved in running a road based trial with councils, police and RAC's MSA officers not to mention the many landowners we would have been working with. Much of the work had been started if not completed. Apologies to those who had already entered and we hope you can all get an alternative ride with the weeks to go. Your entries will be refunded in full via the ACU OnLine system. (This may not be instant!)
What follows was the original text:
The club is resurrecting the Moto Británica Trial this year, to be run as a round of the Central England Tradition Trials Championship.
The date has to be changed as most riders are off to the Isle of Man on our planned weekend. discussions are going on behind the scenes. Watch this space. Now Aug25.
The event will be open to British Bikes, Twinshocks, Air Cooled Trail Bikes and Sidecars. The route will be approximately 30 miles including roadwork and include 30 sections with two routes: Easy and Not So Easy!
Regs are now ready and entries are open now.
For those not sure which route to ride , the standard route will be set out for twin shock and cheating modern British bikes and the easy route will have deviations taking out tight turns, for proper British bikes i.e. pre-unit and trail bikes. There may be further deviations for sidecars.

Snippets
Sidecars: If you are new to doing entries OnLine with Passengers then don't panic, so are we! If the system doesn't seem to let you enter then it could be that you do not have the sidecar category ticked on your trials licence. Adding Sidecars to an existing licence is free and can be done using the Member's Portal or you just have to ask the ACU Licencing department. One thing we did spot is that Lanyards are compulsory for chairs. TSR 8 says: With the exception of Four Stroke Sidecar machines fitted with external magnetos ignitions, all machines used in Youth and Sidecar competitions must be fitted with an operational lanyard cut out device so as to stop the engine/motor should the rider and machine be parted. Our scrutineer might notice so get it sorted!
Is anyone wondering where the heck that event name came from? We'll get Stan to explain soon. For now - I think it is what the Spanish would call our British Bike Trial. Seems appropriate as we have classes for all those Bultos, Monts and Ossas that showed the British industry what progress and development does when us Brits sat on our laurels!
