Annual Dinner and Review Of Our Sporting Year 2004

Usually in January we organise this popular social occasion. As an example you can read a report below of what we got up to at a previous Review:

January 17 2004 At Bells Golf Club, Coleford.

Awards, Bike Show, Raffle + Entertainment. We may be able to list the awards here in the future, come back again.

Those of us who were there will undoubtedly join me in thanking Ian Hannam and his helpers for organising another superb bash.

If you would have liked to hear the group Eos properly, without us rabble trying to drown them out, then look on their website for regular dates! www.eos2.co.uk You will find them playing Monmouth Folk Club regularly.

Luckily you won't be able to visit the Comedy act's website but Merv and Steve often play to an increasingly packed audience at our club nights for free.

A Note from Ian: I would like to thank all members & guests who attended our annual dinner & awards evening. 82 of us witnessed what has happened both inside & outside of the club regarding our riding exploits. I think an excellent account of what we have done, during yet another busy year, was given by the clerks of courses at an understandable level that our guests could comprehend.

I hope that Rogers sidecar gave you some interest, It wasn't taking pride of place, I just could not get 10 foot!! anywhere else.

Many thanks to Neil & those who had their bikes on show for the (waiting) time on Saturday & for clearing up on Sunday morning, that meant such a lot to me. I must also thank Sue, who gets me out of BIG trouble on the computer who with Ruth, Ann & Kelly ran the raffle.

During my 20 years with the club I have been lucky to have my name on the club silverware, the Wyegate Sidecars & both trophies for the Road Trials, I cannot however see the Wyegate Cup coming my wayAwards - Ian Hannam - A well earnt Rose Bowl & I do not have room in the garage for Adversity, but to be voted by you as Club Person of the year is a very high accolade & I can assure you it's the hardest one to win, but I believe that no name can go on that Rose bowl without the help from the rest of you. I THANK YOU ALL. Ian Hannam
